Obama's Minions Try to Sound Smug About Legalization Too, Fail

I think these guys have lost control over there.  I know he admits it around 3:40, but I mean it more literally.  They deserve credit for presenting a unified message of smugness without giving any actual reasoning for their pompous asshole attitudes.

Barack's F in Economics

Barack--there is no such thing as free lunch.  No other words.

Barack is Either Stupid or Controlled by Lobbyist Interests

It's a little long, but holy shit this is an excellent video--Ron Paul and a Harvard Economist--and Barack laughs?

Onlive! Video games will never be the same!

If it works...this is amazing.  What also bears some thought it is how this Onlive cloud computing digital rights distribution arrangement--and the inevitable pricing structure that will ensue (i.e. bundled subscription prices) will affect licensable digital material.  Think about this: You can buy games, regardless of hardware, enjoy access and enjoy some contained shapeshifting ability.  Will this change the paradigm for outlets like iTunes? Lets hope ISP's can keep up with the data compression and this is really as fast as it's supposed to be!

Go to 1:40, watch Chris Jericho rip on Obama

Lebron!

Bron Bron, why can't you run for President?

Obama Laughs at Legalization

Rare that I would ever agree with a Huffington Post article, but here it is. My libertarian pragmatism forces me to laugh right back at the President in this case--legalization and smart regulation--along with a tax like that on cigarettes would increase revenue streams to cash-strapped state governments. How could it NOT create jobs? legalization would lead to new jobs and business opportunities for growers, dispensaries, and even (and you'd think Barack would like this) government workers who would be needed in the regulation effort. This doesn't even take into account how much money this would save us at the border of Mexico--instead we're going to spend more money and keep the status quo? Keep laughing off obvious solutions and revenue sources that might help pay for your massive budget Barack.

Read This One!

Are some Dems growing a brain? Or are they realizing that Obama doesn't care about them--only his keynesian agenda?

You like this one?

Yo! A double-dealing politician to the core. Count it. Accessible and transparent right? President Obama's buzzwords of empty air.

If you are spending more, there is NO WAY you are "doing everything you can to reduce the deficit". Keynesian principles don't work!

Live blogging Obama Speech 8:25 PM

Watching the Obama Speech right now...it's funny that he won't address the fact that the budget is generational theft except by saying that it isn't generational theft and then describing a process in which budgets are re-examined periodically and "its tough".  It sounds to me like he's saying that the giant budget isn't generational theft and then describes exactly how generational theft works.

Crocodile Tears

Anyone else find it a bit weird that Obama came out "expressing outrage" at the AIG bonuses, giving tacit approval to his minions in the House to promote their bill to punitively tax bonuses, but meanwhile comes out, quietly, and mentions that, oh yeah, that might be unconstitutional?

He's using the House's radical and unconstitutional stance to help justify the more moderate stance he will take--and make him look better to the moderates who by and large elected him.  Don't let his crocodile tears fool you.  He's using the House to price high so he can sell it, watered down, low.

Take the steps to right the country or run for re-election?

President Obama making all those nay-sayers who posited that he hadn't actually DONE anything in office besides run for the next one look pretty smart.
Now, as poll numbers slide and almost Bush-like cat-calls of "incompetence" are ringing through the galleries, Obama is taking the only course he knows: make promises, be vague, and target key demographics.  It was no coincidence that every ad on the internet was Obama for a year (targeting younger voters)--nor it is coincidence now that most of his speeches are in battleground states.  It's easy to argue that he's trying to be "accessible"...but it's also easy to argue that he's not-so quietly nurturing a fanatic cult of personality.

Obama is more offensive than I am

Well, there we have it.  Obama's purported adherence to tolerance and inclusiveness turn out to be hypocrisy at best.  I guess when the teleprompter is off, our President isn't as eloquent, friendly, or even as smart as we thought.  This disturbed me from a number of perspectives, but one most of all:
If you run a grassroots campaign where you proclaim the strength of "every-man" and make pretty noises about how everyone is going to be included in the "process", it is borderline suicide to poke fun at "every-man's" defenseless and innocent son or daughter.
Maybe instead, Barack, you should have compared your embarrassing bowling skills to your boy Geithner's bumbling attempts at public disclosure, or perhaps your ability to appoint non-tax dodging cabinet nominees.
